October 12-14, 2007: American Rhododendron Society Northeast Regional Conference, hosted by the Great Lakes Chapter in Cleveland, Ohio.

November 11, 2007: Regular meeting of the Mason-Dixon Chapter at the Bear Branch Nature Center, 300 John Owings Road, Westminster, Maryland (directions). The meeting starts at 2 PM, after socializing from around 1:30. Fall foliage display. Our regular meetings are open to all.

January 19, 2008: Mason-Dixon Chapter's annual winter luncheon at Cactus Willie's in Westminster.

February 10, 2008: Regular meeting of the Mason-Dixon Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society at the Bear Branch Nature Center, 300 John Owings Road, Westminster, Maryland (directions). Speaker: Dr. Harold Sweetman, the Executive Director of the Jenkins Arboretum. The meeting starts at 2 PM, after socializing from around 1:30. Our regular meetings are open to all.

March 7-9, 2008: The Maryland Home & Garden Show at the State Fairgrounds in Timonium, Maryland. The Mason-Dixon Chapter's booth once again introduces everyone to the wonders of the rhododendron world, with a display garden presenting azaleas and rhododendrons in bloom many weeks before their normal flowering time. Experts are constantly on hand to answer (or at least try to answer) all your rhododendron questions.

March 15-16, 2008: The Mason-Dixon Chapter's traveling garden display is once again at the Frederick County Home Show at the Frederick County Fairgrounds in Frederick, Maryland. Stop by and say hello. We'll try to answer any questions you might have on gardening, particularly those dealing with azaleas and rhododendrons.

March 29, 2008: Maintenance and planting at the Mason-Dixon Chapter garden at the Bear Branch Nature Center.

April 5-6, 2008: The Mason-Dixon Chapter will again have a booth at the Carroll County Home Show in Shipley Arena at the Carroll County Agricultural Center. Stop by to see us if you have any gardening questions, especially about azaleas or rhododendrons.

April 13, 2008: Regular meeting of the Mason-Dixon Chapter at the Bear Branch Nature Center, 300 John Owings Road, Westminster, Maryland (directions). For the first time, we will have a truss show of early blooming rhododendrons and azaleas. In addition, the naming rights to one of Buck Clagget's Bowie Mill azaleas will be auctioned off. The meeting starts at 2 PM, after socializing from around 1:30. Our regular meetings are open to all.

April 16-20, 2008: ARS Annual Convention, "Rhododendrons In The Wild West", in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

April 19, 2008: The Mason-Dixon Chapter will have a booth at Bowman's Home & Garden Center's annual Spring Open House.

April 26, 2008: Flower Show Workshop: a demonstration on how to choose and prepare a truss for display at a Rhododendron Society show. Held at Rosa's Garden in Gambrills, Maryland.

May 9, 2008: Set-up for the Mason-Dixon Chapter's annual Show and Sale at the Rabbit Barn at the Carroll County Agricultural Center.

May 10-11, 2008: The annual Show and Sale of the Mason-Dixon Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society will take place at the Rabbit Barn at the Carroll County Agricultural Center, in Westminster, Maryland. July 12, 2008: Cutting Workshop. Learn how to root cuttings and grow your own new plants.

July 20, 2008: Annual Cutting and Plant Auction at the Bear Branch Nature Center in Westminster.

August 23, 2008: Annual get-together to determine the Mason-Dixon Chapter order with Van Veen Nursery in Portland, Oregon. A great opportunity to get some new and different plants at great prices.
